PR September 8th-10th 2023, International Open Air Storytelling Festival „STORY OASE 2023“
Imagine summer in the neighbourhood and being far away at the same time – this mixture will bring the STORY OASE FESTIVAL to Berlin for the first time in September 2023.
From September 8th till the 10th, the International Storytelling Festival invites you to enjoy the late summer on the “Kulturinsel” in Ernst-Thälmann-Park in the district Prenzlauer-Berg. At this time 15 international and local storytelling artists will perform their stories from all over the world. The stories will be told in German and English, with Spanish, Turkish and Lithuanian elements. With a summer drink in hand and Berlin as the backdrop, it’s a wonderful way to dream away.

Voyages – Storytelling in the Living Room
World Story Day is on 20.3. This year’s theme is “Voyages”. On 21 March, the storytelling association invites you to listen to stories in your living room. Professional storytellers will be guests in private flats in Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg. Two living rooms and two storytelling performances each can be experienced up close on one evening, with stories around the theme of travel.

20 March is World Storytelling Day: every year on this day, free oral storytelling is celebrated around the globe. In 2019, the theme of World Storytelling Day is “Myths and Legends”. The eternally young myths of the “ancient” Greeks are therefore also on the programme at the Storytelling Association, as are legends from Ireland, Finland and the Eskimo. „Erzählkunst ist radikale Gegenkultur zu hochgerüsteten Medienevents“
Am 18. Juni lädt die einzige offene Erzählbühne Berlins zur großen Geburtstagsparty im Prenzlauer Berg ein. Seit 11 märchenhaften Jahren gibt es die Erzählbühne des Vereins Erzählkunst e.V.: Einmal im Monat haben hier alle Erzählwütigen die Gelegenheit, Märchen und Mythen, Biografisches und Fiktionales frei zu erzählen. Nach dem offenen Teil des Abends tritt eine professionelle Erzähler*in aus der internationalen Erzählszene auf – eine einzigartige Veranstaltung im Berliner Kulturleben.
