Sven Tjaben
2017 Sven Tjaben started as co artistic director and since 2022 is the artistic director of the Erzaelbuehne.
2022 Erzaehlbuehne celebrated its 15th anniversary with an exciting storyteller evening, long to be remembered.
Sven is responsible for the program and highlights the evenings with his distinctive humour and a wide musical repertoire.
He was born and spent his childhood in Bremen. He was trained as an actor in Hamburg and since 25 years has been travelling as a performer throughout Germany.
His literature readings, cabaret and musical comedies combined seemed to Sven to interface with storytelling. In consequence he trained at the Berliner Universität der Künste as a storyteller and has since built up a wide ranged repertoire.
Body, speech and music are the essence of his approach to storytelling. Sven plays the mandolin, guitar, banjo, accordion and piano – all for a good story!
