The Erzählkunst e.V. association works with numerous partners in the arts and education and is a member of three associations: the Verband der Erzählerinnen und Erzähler e.V. (VEE), the Federation of European Storytelling (FEST) and the Landesverband freie darstellende Künste Berlin e.V. (LAFT).

The purpose of the association is to unite freelance storytellers from the German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, South Tyrol and Switzerland) and to represent their interests, as well as to promote and cultivate art and culture, primarily oral storytelling. Since 2008, between 80 and 100 storytellers have met annually to exchange ideas about their art, to find guidelines, to network and to further their education. The association was founded in June 2013.
The Federation for European Storytelling (FEST)
The Federation for European Storytelling is a worldwide network of organisations and associations active in the field of storytelling. The aim of FEST is to strengthen the world of oral storytelling in Europe through exchange, education and networking.
FEST is an international non-profit organisation based in Belgium with 75 members in 24 countries around the world.
Landesverband freie darstellende Künste Berlin e.V. (LAFT)
LAFT Berlin – Landesverband freie darstellende Künste Berlin e.V. – represents the interests of Berlin’s professional independent performing artists vis-à-vis the public and politics. With the Landesverband, these have created an instrument with which they can effectively support their artistic activities through power of representation, publicity and services.
