The association has set itself the task of qualifying the art of storytelling:
It trains storytellers and offers further training and workshops.
Werkstatt/ Workshop
Erzählkunst e.V. organises workshops for further training for storytellers. Nationally and internationally recognised lecturers deepen selected narrative skills of the students. The language of instruction is German or English. Workshops are open initially exclusively for association members. Only when free places remain will they be opened to non-members.
The Basic Course in Free Storytelling
Expanding one’s own storytelling skills, getting to know stories from all over the world and finally being able to tell a story of one’s own choice freely, vividly and excitingly for an audience – these are the goals of the basic course of Erzählkunst e.V. On 10 weekends in 10 months, the further training teaches the basic skills of free storytelling. Erzählkunst e.V. has been offering the basic course since 2007, and demand is high.
The Advanced Course in Free Storytelling
In 2019, Erzählkunst e.V. has offered an advanced course in free storytelling for the first time, in which storytellers can deepen and professionalise their art. The advanced course consists of five modules on five weekends, each of which is dedicated to one topic.
It has not yet been decided when the next advanced course will start.
Instructors Basic and Advanced Course
A team of experienced professional storytellers and educators with a background in acting, storytelling, theatre, voice, movement education and science lead the training.
The language of instruction is German.
