Hummingbird’s Wings
(in English, German and Spanish)
A journey through diverse tales and legends from various traditions of the American continent (Abya Yala), stories where the characters are mostly animals and make us reflect on other ways of seeing life.Narration, music, and kamishibai will take us through a world full of magic, like the colors of a hummingbird.
Darinka Ramirez is a Mexican oral storyteller and performance artist who explores literature through the body, voice, and sound. Darinka collects contemporary and indigenous stories from her travels around the world. Her work has been presented in Indonesia, New Zealand, Brazil, El Salvador and New York, among others.
Next up: Open mic! Bring your stories – tell them with gestures and expressions, with words and wit, with music and song! Whatever you’ve got – up to 10 minutes, whether myths, fairy tales, personal anecdotes or made-up tales – you’re welcome!
Eintritt Everyone pays what they can. As a guide: to enable us to continue paying the bills for the storytelling stage, we would be grateful for a "regular admission" fee of € 15 or more 🙂, but anyone who cannot afford this is still welcome to come and pay less.
